Hospitality Application

Hospitality and Tourism Level 2

Commencement: July 2026 | Application Deadline: 19 June 2026

The National Vocational Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Level 2 is a ten‑month programme at Desert Academy Maltahöhe, accredited by the Namibia Training Authority. It combines theory and practice in hospitality services, tourism operations, customer care, food preparation basics, housekeeping, front office procedures, workplace numeracy and workplace safety.

Our training goes further by emphasising employability and sustainable eco‑tourism, preparing trainees to meet industry expectations and contribute to Namibia’s growing tourism sector. Compulsory life skills modules address relationships, health and wellness, financial management, mental health and building respectful communities, ensuring trainees are equipped for responsible participation in society.

The programme is built around the living classroom approach, with extensive placements in RuralRevive business settings. Trainees gain hands‑on experience in guesthouses, catering services, tourism projects and community hospitality initiatives, building portfolios of evidence while being mentored in real work environments. This ensures learning is practical, confidence‑building and directly connected to community transformation.
